One&Only Royal Mirage Dubai Review: Arabian Court, Prince Suite & Private Beach Experience

Overview

Staying at One&Only Royal Mirage in Dubai felt very different from any other resort I’ve experienced in the city. Dubai is usually about skyscrapers, modern lines, and futuristic design — but here, everything slows down. It feels almost like stepping into a completely different world, one that is deeply inspired by traditional Arabian architecture and atmosphere.
What makes this property truly unique is that it’s not just one hotel. It’s actually a collection of three distinct environments within the same estate: The Palace, Arabian Court, and Residence & Spa. Each one has its own personality, its own rhythm, and even its own level of privacy — which gives the entire resort a sense of depth that you rarely find, especially in Dubai.
During my stay in November 2025, I stayed in the Arabian Court, which in my opinion is the perfect balance between authenticity and luxury. The design is incredibly warm and immersive, with those iconic arches, rich textures, and long symmetrical courtyards that immediately give you that “Arabian palace” feeling. It’s not flashy — it’s elegant, timeless, and very atmospheric.
One thing that really stood out to me is the scale of the resort. The gardens are huge, the pathways seem endless, and the beachfront… honestly, it feels like one of the largest private stretches of beach I’ve seen in Dubai. You don’t get that crowded feeling you often have in other luxury resorts here — instead, there’s space, silence, and a sense of exclusivity.
But what made the experience truly memorable was how it blends this calm, almost heritage-inspired environment with very unique, modern touches. Simple things — like moving between resorts by yacht at night, or enjoying a sunset tea in the suite — create moments that feel cinematic without trying too hard.
This is not the typical Dubai stay. It’s slower, more refined, more immersive. And that’s exactly why it stands out.
ABOUT THE DESTINATION
Dubai is one of those destinations that almost everyone thinks they already understand… until they actually experience it properly.
Yes, it’s known for its skyline, its record-breaking buildings, and that ultra-modern lifestyle — but what I’ve always found interesting is how much contrast there is. On one side, you have places like Downtown or the Marina, where everything feels fast, vertical, and futuristic. On the other, especially along the Jumeirah coastline, you start to see a completely different side of Dubai — one that feels calmer, more refined, and much more connected to its Arabian roots.
That’s exactly where One&Only Royal Mirage is located, and honestly, the positioning is perfect. You’re still close to everything — the Marina, Palm Jumeirah, all the main hotspots — but once you enter the resort, it feels like you’ve stepped away from the city entirely.
What I personally love about Dubai for this kind of stay is the reliability. The weather in November is ideal, the service level across the city is consistently high, and everything just works. It’s one of the few destinations where you can plan a luxury escape knowing exactly what level of experience you’re going to get.
But places like One&Only Royal Mirage elevate that even more, because they bring back something that Dubai sometimes lacks: soul and atmosphere. Instead of focusing only on modern luxury, they reconnect you with a more traditional, almost romantic vision of the Middle East.
And when you combine that with the beachfront, the scale of the resort, and the level of privacy… it becomes one of those stays that doesn’t feel like a city hotel at all — even though you’re right in the middle of Dubai.
What we liked most

A Beach That Doesn’t Feel Like Dubai: One of the first things that really surprised me was the beach. It’s wide, quiet, and honestly feels much more exclusive than most of the other resorts in the city. What makes it special is not just the size — it’s the atmosphere. You’re right in the middle of Dubai, but it genuinely feels like you’re somewhere far away, almost disconnected from the city
.
That “Step Back in Time” Feeling: This is something I didn’t expect to feel so strongly. The entire resort, especially the Arabian Court, gives you this sensation of going back to the origins of Arabia. The architecture, the colors, the symmetry — everything is designed to create a very immersive, almost cinematic atmosphere. It’s not just a place to stay, it’s a place you feel.
Sunset Tea in the Prince Suite: One of my favorite moments of the stay was simply enjoying tea at sunset from the suite. No big production, no over-designed experience — just the light changing, the silence, and that view. Sometimes the simplest moments are the ones that stay with you the most.
The Scale of the Resort: This is something you really notice once you start walking around. The gardens are huge, the pathways are long, and there’s a real sense of space everywhere. It never feels crowded, even when the hotel is full. That level of privacy is rare, especially in Dubai.
The Yacht Experience at Night: This was something very different. Being able to move between One&Only Royal Mirage and the other One&Only properties by yacht — especially in the evening — creates a completely different kind of experience. The lights of Dubai, the calm of the water… it’s simple, but very suggestive and memorable.
A Brunch That Feels Like an Event: Dubai is known for brunch, but here it feels more curated and refined. It’s not just about quantity — it’s about the setting, the atmosphere, and the overall experience. It feels more like a proper occasion rather than just a meal.
Being in Dubai… Without Feeling in Dubai: This is probably the best way to summarize it. You’re in one of the most dynamic cities in the world, yet inside the resort everything slows down. There’s a calmness, a depth, and a sense of place that’s very hard to find anywhere else in the city.
Suites

During our stay, we experienced the Prince Suite in the Arabian Court, and this is where the whole concept of the resort really comes together.
The suite feels less like a hotel room and more like a private residence inspired by traditional Arabian design. From the moment you walk in, you immediately notice the space — everything is generous, well-balanced, and designed to create that sense of calm rather than impress with something overly modern or flashy.
The living area is large and beautifully structured, with those signature arches and warm tones that define the Arabian Court. It’s the kind of space where you naturally slow down — whether it’s for a coffee in the morning or just a quiet moment during the day.
The bedroom follows the same philosophy: elegant, comfortable, and very cohesive with the overall design of the property. Nothing feels forced. It’s understated luxury, but done properly.
What really makes the difference, though, is the outdoor space. The terrace opens up to a beautiful view that becomes especially powerful at sunset. This is where we spent one of our favorite moments of the stay — just sitting there, having tea, watching the light change over the sea.
There’s a certain privacy that comes with this suite that you don’t always find in Dubai. Even though the resort is large, the layout and positioning make it feel very intimate.
Overall, the Prince Suite is not about being over-the-top — it’s about space, atmosphere, and experience. And in a destination like Dubai, that makes it stand out even more.
Food and Drink

One thing you immediately notice at One&Only Royal Mirage is how diverse the dining scene is. Because the resort is divided into three different environments — The Palace, Arabian Court, and Residence & Spa — you’re not limited to one or two restaurants. Instead, it feels more like having access to an entire destination of venues, each with its own atmosphere.
In the Arabian Court, where we stayed, the main restaurant is Olives, which is where breakfast is served. It has a very relaxed yet elegant vibe, with both indoor and outdoor seating overlooking the gardens. Mornings here are slow and enjoyable — exactly how you want to start the day in a place like this.
One of the most iconic spots across the resort is Eauzone, located right on the beach. This is probably one of the most visually striking restaurants, especially in the evening. The combination of water features, low lighting, and the sea just steps away creates a very unique setting. It’s one of those places where you don’t just go for dinner — you go for the whole experience.
At The Palace, you find a slightly more classic and refined atmosphere, with restaurants like Celebrities, which is more focused on fine dining. The contrast between venues is what makes the whole experience interesting — you can go from something very relaxed during the day to something much more elevated in the evening without ever leaving the resort.
Then there’s the Jetty Lounge, which quickly became one of my favorite spots. Set directly on the beach, it’s perfect for a drink in the late afternoon or evening. The vibe here is very effortless — soft music, comfortable seating, and that open view of the sea. It’s simple, but done in a way that makes you want to stay longer than planned.
And of course, the brunch deserves a mention. Dubai is known for brunch culture, but here it feels more curated and less chaotic. It’s not just about variety — it’s about the setting, the pace, and the overall experience. It feels like a proper occasion rather than just a meal.
Another detail I appreciated is that, thanks to the One&Only network, you also have the possibility to move between properties — even by yacht — and extend your dining experience beyond Royal Mirage itself. Doing this at night adds a completely different dimension to the stay.
Overall, the food & drinks offering is not about one standout restaurant — it’s about having multiple strong options, each with a different identity, all within the same resort. And that gives you the freedom to shape your experience depending on your mood, without ever feeling repetitive.
Services and facilities

What really defines One&Only Royal Mirage is not just the beauty of the property, but the scale and variety of everything you can do inside it. It’s one of those resorts where you could easily spend days without ever needing to leave.
The first thing you notice is the space. The gardens are huge, perfectly maintained, and designed in a way that invites you to walk around without any مقصد — just exploring, taking your time, enjoying the silence. It’s rare to find this kind of openness in Dubai, especially in such a central location.
The pools are spread across the different areas of the resort, and each one has its own vibe. Some are more social, others feel almost hidden and quiet. What I liked is that you can always find your own corner, depending on the mood of the day.
Then there’s the spa, which is a big part of the experience. The wellness area includes traditional elements like the hammam, which adds that authentic Middle Eastern touch to the whole stay. It’s not just a modern spa — it feels connected to the heritage of the place, and that makes the experience more immersive.
The gym is fully equipped and well maintained, but honestly, what stands out more is the environment you’re in while doing anything here. Whether it’s a workout, a walk, or just relaxing, everything feels elevated by the surroundings.
Of course, the beach is one of the key highlights. As I mentioned before, it’s one of the largest private beaches you’ll find in Dubai, and that makes a huge difference. There’s always space, always a sense of calm, and you never feel like you’re sharing it with too many people.
Service-wise, everything runs very smoothly. The staff is present, attentive, but never intrusive. Given the size of the resort, that’s something you really notice — everything feels organized, effortless, and consistent across all areas.
And then there are those small but impactful details, like the possibility to move between One&Only properties by yacht. It’s not something you do every day, but when you do, it adds a completely different layer to the experience — especially in the evening.
Overall, the strength of this resort is not just one facility — it’s the combination of space, variety, and atmosphere, all working together to create a stay that feels complete from every angle.

Our experience
Looking back at our stay at One&Only Royal Mirage, what really stayed with me is not just one specific moment — but the overall feeling the place gives you.
Dubai is usually fast, dynamic, and very modern. Here, everything slows down. There’s a different rhythm, a different energy. It’s one of the few places in the city where you genuinely feel disconnected from the outside, even though you’re right in the middle of it.
The Arabian Court, and especially the Prince Suite, gave us that perfect balance of space, privacy, and atmosphere. Simple moments — like sitting on the terrace at sunset with a tea — ended up being some of the most memorable ones. No need for anything exaggerated, just the setting doing its job.
What makes this resort stand out is how complete it feels. You have the beach, the gardens, multiple dining options, different areas to explore, and even experiences like moving by yacht between properties. It never feels repetitive, and you can shape your stay differently every day.
At the same time, there’s a strong identity behind everything. The design, the architecture, the overall concept — it all connects back to this idea of a more traditional Arabian experience, which is something you don’t often find in Dubai at this level.
Would I recommend it? Definitely — especially if you’re looking for something that feels more authentic, spacious, and immersive, rather than purely modern and high-energy.
It’s perfect for couples, for a slower luxury escape, or even just to experience a different side of Dubai.
And yes… it’s one of those places I would come back to, without overthinking it.
